Sepiring Indonesia - For The Love of A Festivity in Indonesia

Sepiring Indonesia started from a pattern called Joged Jakarta by Eridanie Zulviana, winning Best Design in JSDA (Jakarta Souvenir Design Award) in 2012. The pattern illustrates a festivity in Jakarta, with Abang and None, kembang goyang, crocodile bread and a variety of flora and fauna in the characteristic cheerful colors of Betawinese people.

Chairman of JSDA judges at the time, Roland Adam, and his partner Frank Hijmans, were inspired to apply Eridanie’s works in the form of dinner plates set, and extend the series by adding 5 more Indonesian culture patterns from Java (Jawa Semanak), Bali (Legong Bali), Padang (Rancak Minang) , Dayak (Dayak Tatau) and Bugis (Bugis Makanja).

With the full support of her close friends and partners in this business, Jasmyne Oei (sales and marketing) and Åsa Gilland (Swedish illustrator), Sepiring Indonesia was launched festively on June 19th, 2013 at Alun Alun Indonesia, Grand Indonesia -Jakarta.

To the present, in addition to the collection of dinner plates, Sepiring Indonesia has also released other products such as canvas leather bags (tote bags, sling bags), home and décor accessories (cushions, placemats) and stationaries (agenda, cards).
